I am married to Alex (she works as a Personal Trainer in our businesses as well) and we have 2 great kids together. I worked in the Financial Services industry for over 18 years. Right up until the global crash.

We were hit hard. I lost my company, my car and had to move out of our house into my in laws while we tried to sort ourselves out.

I was left questioning the path I had taken. The situation gave my the opportunity to take a step back and look at where we were with our lives. I wasn’t happy in that industry, but I had been relatively successful in it. The truth is I didn’t know anything else.

I’m a big reader of business coaching books and self improvement guides, and I kept reading over and over about this common trait that most successful business owners share – they followed their passion.

When you follow  your passion, work doesn’t feel like work. In fact work and leisure time just merge into one. I remember thinking that as nice as this sounded, could it actually apply to anyone? Most importantly, could it apply to me?

After much soul searching I realised that my passion was health and fitness. Partly because I liked to keep fit but also because I had suffered a lot with undiagnosed stomach issues over the years.

It seemed only natural that if I was going to change careers at this point in my life then I should go down this road and qualify to become a Personal Trainer.

Those around me thought I was on the verge of career suicide. How could I throw years of qualifications and experience down the drain to start at the bottom of an industry I knew nothing about. Certainly when you look at the average income of a Personal Trainer – £17,701!

So, with the odds stacked against me, I started learning once again.

Fast forward 6 years and I have gone on to achieve the following:

• Qualified up to level 3 Personal Trainer UK.
• Qualified as a kettlebell instructor.
• Started own Personal Training and Bootcamp company called Fitter Body Bootcamp with 250 active members on monthly contracts.
• Turning over £500,000 per annum.
• Produced a home workout kettlebell programme as an information product and sold over 100 copies in the first week of launch on 30th April 2014.
• Set up the PT 100k Club as a resource training site for other PTs that want to fast track their business to 100k and beyond.
• Have appeared on BBC and ITV as a fitness expert.
• Moved our family to Marbella, Spain as I continue to grow our group of companies remotely from a sunny location!

I’d like to share with you how I have done this and help you to do the same. I still actively work in each of my businesses on a daily basis and so the information that I share is current and is working.

Once you learn how to market yourself properly using Facebook ads your whole life will change.
