The fact is that it is a phenomenal business marketing hub that just cannot be ignored in modern times.
The figures that keep coming out every few months about number of users, average time spent on FB, and buying trends are just too great to ignore.
Your potential clients use Facebook. Don’t discount this.
Those that CHOOSE to ignore (and it is a choice) this are the ones that will be left behind.
I still come across many Personal Trainers that still use their personal page and nothing else. To those that are reading this then please get your new business fan page sorted after reading this article – it will take only 5 minutes.
Even if you’re still working in a gym for someone else. DO IT!

Post quality content that people (preferably your target market) want to regularly tune into.
How Well Do You Know Your Facebook Audience?
Are you tracking the age, demographic, location of those that like your Facebook page?
This can reveal really useful info about those that already like your page but then also it can help you target the right people in future marketing campaigns.
Here’s a glimpse of mine:
Notice that 100% of the 2,300 people that like my page are women. This is perfect as I operate a ladies only facility.
You will also notice that 75% of them are within the age range of 25-44.
This is my ideal age range and once you know this you can then select that age range for future Facebook ads or like campaigns.
The other thing that this image doesn’t reveal is that 90% of them are from Northampton which is where my facility is.
So I know that if I run an advertising campaign targeting those that have liked my page only, for an offer in our facility, the vast majority of them are my target market.
Really useful data and totally free to access.
Thanks for all the free info you put out, enjoy reading your blogs.
Thanks David. Glad you enjoy.
