Email marketing made simple:

There are lots of different ways that you should be marketing in your fitness business.

Before you even get to marketing though you need to ensure that you have a facebook page and a website. Before you start to question whether these are necessary, ask yourself how serious your potential clients are going to take you and whether you will be deemed as worth the money you’re charging if you don’t even have a website.

It’s a minimum requirement these days so make sure you have one.

Also, on this point, don’t try and design it yourself. Pay someone from www.elance.com $100 to do it for you. Just make sure you have a wordpress site. This will allow you to make changes and take control of the site in the future.

Right, now that’s sorted,  you need to get yourself an email autoresponder. This allows you to capture contact details from anyone that visits your website.  You need to provide them with an incentive to do so most of the time, like a free fat loss report but once you have this information you can then keep in contact with them on a regular basis.

Most companies that understand the concept of having an email list of useful names of your target market still get this strategy wrong. There is a formula that works really well as to how often you should be emailing your prospects and the type of stuff that you should be emailing them. For example you don’t want to only talk to them about offers that you have as you want them to ‘Know, Like and Trust ‘ you first.

You do this by providing them with great content that they will find useful and informative. This really positions you as a local expert within your chosen niche.

You need to stay at the forefront of their minds as well, so the emails need to be regular. There are some that believe every day is best for optimum results and others swear by once per week.  I would certainly recommend it’s no less than once per week and no more than once per day.
